Bahamas Food Services, Ltd. (BFS) is regarded as the largest food distributor in the Bahamas, servicing both the foodservice and retail sectors. BFS is a broad-line distributor supplying meats, fresh produce, dairy products, processed foods, beverages, chemicals, paper, and restaurant equipment and supply products under international, local, and proprietary brand names. BFS customers include resort, hotel, club, restaurant, institutional, government, and retail outlets throughout the Bahamas.

Primary islands for distribution include New Providence (Nassau), Grand Bahama (Freeport), Abaco (Marsh Harbor and Hope Town), Eleuthera, the Exumas, Long Island, San Salvador, and Bimini. On New Providence, where the majority of Bahamians live and tourists visit, BFS utilizes a fleet of over 50 trucks. Inter-island marine and air transports are utilized to service the outlying islands.

BFS operates in a newly-constructed, state-of-the-art, 160,000 square foot complex located on 19 acres. The complex consists of produce, meat, and general purpose high-racked coolers and freezers. In addition, the complex features executive and operational offices, a test kitchen, a food-processing room, a vehicle maintenance and fueling facility, extensive truck and vehicle parking, sophisticated communications and security systems, and self-sufficiency of water, sewer, and backup-power generation utilities. The facilities are designed for double or triple expansions of all functional areas.
