Sysco Bahamas is a vital player in the Bahamian food distribution industry, with a rich history, strong network and unparalleled commitment to serving its diverse customer base with quality products and reliable delivery services; and yet, among our long-standing loyal community, we are and will always be known as “BFS”. 


For over 50 years, the company known today as Sysco Bahamas, has continuously grown, developed and evolved. Each transformation ushering in additional products, services and technology to better serve our Bahamian communities.


    • Originally established in 1973 as Island Seafood (ISF), focusing on seafood and meat distribution in Nassau.
    • Rebranded as Bahamas Food Services in June 2000, expanding its product range.
    • Acquired Prime Bahamas, a major fresh produce distributor, in 2010.
    • Purchased by Sysco Corporation in 2012, leading to the name change to Sysco Bahamas Food Services in 2013.
Our facilities have historically been and continue to be on Gladstone Road, a strategic and logistical strength, which has afforded us the opportunity to continue to grow and expand as needed. Today, our Operations can be defined as: OPERATIONS
    • Deliver products six days a week to resorts, hotels, restaurants, and institutions in Nassau.
    • Extend services to over 20 Family or Out Islands and Cays via mailboat and air-freight services.
    • Employ close to 400 people and cater to more than 2,000 customers.
    • Offer a wide range of products (over 10,000) in 12 categories.
    • Operate from a modern facility occupying 20 acres of land, with  200,000 sq.ft. of warehouse and office space.
    • We continue to advance and enhance our operations and facilities to accommodate further growth

Promote Sysco Bahamas’ products and services for building relationships with new and existing accounts.
