Ben Woods ~ President

The current president of Sysco Bahamas is Ben Woods, as of June 2023.

Ron Hepburn, CPA ~ Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance-

Ron Hepburn is a Retail and Finance professional with significant experience in strategy development, budgeting, revenue management, team development, financial reporting and analysis. 

Prior to his role at Sysco Bahamas, Ron performed as the Retail Director for Heineken’s Bahamian-domiciled company, Commonwealth Brewery Limited, also serving as a member of its board of directors. In his years as Retail Director he was responsible for strategy, brand building, improving market share and enhancing financial performance. During his 10 years with the Company he held multiple leadership roles within the Finance, Sales and Supply Chain functions where he was responsible for financial review and reporting, internal audit, customer service, logistics and warehouse management. 

Over the course of Ron’s career, he has worked in the assurance practice for PwC, catering to clients in Oil and Gas, Banking and SME sectors. Prior to this he was an internal auditor at the quasi-government energy company, Bahamas Electricity Company (now Bahamas Power and Light). 

Ron studied at The College of the Bahamas (now University of the Bahamas), thereafter obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada.  

He is a licensed Public Accountant in the State of New Hampshire and in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Nikia Forbes ~ HR Director

Nikia Forbes was appointed as the HR Director of Sysco Bahamas in July 2020 working strategically with leadership to successfully execute local, regional and corporate initiatives.  She has over 20 years of experience in Business and has worked in the banking, hospitality and telecommunications industries.  Prior to joining Sysco Bahamas, she was employed at RBC Royal Bank, Atlantis, Paradise Island as a Compensation & Benefits Manager and at BTC as an HR Manager. 

Nikia holds an Associate degree in Banking from the University of the Bahamas; a bachelor’s degree in Business and Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University; and a master’s degree in Organizational Learning and Leadership from Barry University.  She is a member the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF), Toast Masters International and a committee member of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Employer’s Federation and the Global Corporate Social Responsibility committee.  Nikia is also a member of in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and The Bahamas Society of Human Resource Management (BSHRM) and served on the board.  She is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and a Professional in Human Resources International (PHRi).

Richard Flint ~ VP of Sales

Richard Flint is a native of England but moved to the Bahamas at a very early age before moving to Vancouver Canada. He has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry and moved up the ranks from a dishwasher in his teen years to a Red Seal Chef. He continued to excel and served as an Executive Chef at many high-end golf and tennis resorts, hotels and fine dining establishments where he used Sysco as a main supplier.

He joined the Sysco family in 2004 as a Marketing Associate and won multiple Chairman’s Club awards as well as Torchbearer awards and achieved the Marketing Associate of the year award.

Richard is a proven leader and moved into a District Sales Manager role for several years before taking on a Business Development role. He transferred to Sysco Bahamas Food Services in 2014 to help with the opening of a brand new 4.3-billion-dollar resort becoming the DSM for the Food Service division.  He achieved double digit sales growth year after year driving market-leading growth and receiving a Pace Setter awards for two consecutive years.  He was promoted to the Director of Sales overseeing all sales operations which included the Family Islands Division, Retail Division as well as our TRS Food Service Division before becoming the VP of Sales in 2019.   In this role, Richard has responsibility for driving Sysco Bahamas’ sales strategy and initiatives.

Tiffani Evans – Director of Merchandising

Tiffani Evans is a native of the United States but was raised in the Bahamas with a rich generation of Bahamian roots.  She was appointed as the Director of Merchandising of Sysco Bahamas Food Services in March 2020 with responsibility for overseeing merchandising functions including category management and analytics, product innovation, strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, international procurement as well as field merchandising.

Tiffani has over 20 years of foodservice industry experience and previously held the position of Profit Management Manager at Sysco Bahamas. Prior to joining Sysco Bahamas, she served as the President of Prime Bahamas Ltd. for 10 years, which was later purchased by Bahamas Food Services. Tiffani has broad experience in purchasing, sales, product development, marketing, operations and general management.

She is a member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) and serves on the Global Corporate Social Responsibility committee.
