International Women’s Day

#EachforEqual – the global theme for this year’s International Women’s Day – emphasizes that an equal world is an enabled world, where each of us has a responsibility for creating gender balance in our company, in our industry and in our society.

Here at Sysco Bahamas we have a tremendous amount of Women that have contributed toward the building and success of this business and they play a pivotal role with the continued sustainability of Sysco Bahamas going forward. We are proud to honour the Women that demonstrate a sincere desire to achieve greatness with career aspirations, being great partners, loving mothers and a Pillar Within Society.

What does this collective responsibility mean for both the men and women of Sysco? It’s about supporting policies that promote a more gender-balanced workforce and endorsing the development of women for current and future roles. It’s about actively practicing this commitment by ensuring we have a diverse slate of candidates and having diverse interviewers when we fill every role. Individually, it’s also about speaking up, making sure your voice is heard, and stretching for those growth positions.

We are proud that Sysco is celebrating International Women’s Day for the second year in a row. This day makes an important statement about the importance of gender equality as part of Inclusiveness, one of our Values here at Sysco. As the company begins our next 50 years, we need everyone’s full engagement in promoting equality, because an equal world is an enabled world.

Let’s all be #EachforEqual
