Sysco Bahamas continues to follow all government mandates on servicing the public during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The Prime Minister announced a two-week lockdown for the entire country of The Bahamas, starting 10PM on Tuesday, 4th August 2020 with a possible extension of the lockdown to be determined and announced at a date TBA.

➥ Curfew & Lockdown Hours – TS Isaias August 2020

Sysco Bahamas continues to follow all government mandates on servicing the public during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Due to Hurricane Isaias, our hours have changed for Friday and Saturday.

CURRENT HOURS:
  • FRIDAY 31 July Wholesale Pickup closes at 2:00 pm
  • CLOSED on Saturday, 1st August 2020
  • CLOSED Sunday, 2nd August
  • CLOSED Monday, 3rd August – Emancipation Day public holiday

Regular hours will resume on Tuesday 4th August 2020 once an all clear notice has been provided by local authorities.

Sysco Bahamas (BFS) has followed all government mandates on servicing the public during the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. Regular hours and service levels are resumed as of Monday, 18th May 2020 during weekdays only. BFS remains closed on Saturday and Sunday as per the lockdown requirements for Nassau, Bahamas.

➥ Walk-in customers are now accepted during normal business hours.

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Sysco Bahamas (BFS) has made changes to our regular operating hours and has put in place updated security and health safety measures. As a primary wholesaler upon which many local companies depend, Sysco Bahamas is considered an “Essential Service” and is therefore available to service customers within the new parameters.

No walk-in customers can be accepted at this time. Security will only allow customers with a verified order number and appointment time to access the property.

✪ No walk-in customers without an order
✪ All customers must adhere to strict social distancing while on BFS property

LOCKDOWN UPDATE: BFS is currently scheduled to be closed every Saturday in May 2020 as per Bahamian law. However, this is subject to change as the country adapts to changing conditions and issues new alerts and directives. Check this page for updates, or contact your BFS sales rep.

NCL Update: 2019-nCoV (Novel CoronaVirus)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Chinese authorities identified the new coronavirus, which has resulted in more than a thousand confirmed cases in China, including cases outside Wuhan City. Additional cases have been identified in a growing number of other international locations,including the United States. The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is closely monitoring the situation and provides comprehensive and timely updates.

What are Coronaviruses?

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that were first identified in the mid-1960s and are common in many different species of animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats. Coronaviruses are not typically transmitted between animals and humans. With the discovery of 2019 Novel Coronavirus there are now seven strains of coronavirus known to be capable of transmission from animals to humans. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) CoV was responsible for a large outbreak in 2003 and Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrom (MERS) CoV was responsible for an outbreak in 2012.
